Privacy Policy
- The app does not collect, store, share or sell any personal data.
- Photos are analysed only on your iPhone and are never uploaded.
- The app has no internet connection, accounts, ads, analytics or tracking.
Who we are
Backgammon Pip Camera Count (“the app”) is made by Lee Walkden (“we”, “us”). If you have any question about this policy, email lee_up@icloud.com.
Photos and the camera
The app asks for camera access only so you can photograph a backgammon board. You can also choose an existing photo; the system photo picker gives the app only the single photo you choose, not your library.
The photo is analysed entirely on your device to find the board and the checkers. It is kept in the app's memory only while you're using it and is discarded when you start a new photo or close the app. The app does not save photos to your library or anywhere else, and never sends them off your device.
Data we collect
None. The app contains no networking code, so nothing you do in it can be sent to us or to anyone else. There are no accounts or sign-ins, no advertising, no analytics or crash-reporting services, and no tracking across apps or websites.
The positions and pip counts you see exist only on your screen while you use the app.
Permissions
- Camera — to photograph the board. If you decline, you can still choose an existing photo.
You can change camera access at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Camera.
Children
The app is suitable for all ages. Because it collects no data, it collects none from children.
Third parties
The app uses only Apple's on-device system frameworks. No third-party code or services receive any information from it. Apple's own handling of App Store downloads is covered by Apple's privacy policy.
Your rights
Since we hold no data about you, there is nothing to access, correct, export or delete. If you contact us by email, we use your message only to reply and delete it when it's no longer needed.
Changes to this policy
If the app ever changes how it handles data, we will update this page and the effective date above before that version is released.
