How it works

1

Photograph the board

Use the camera or pick an existing photo. The whole board, from as directly above as you can.

2

Confirm the grid

The app finds the playing area and lines up the 24 points. Nudge a corner if needed.

3

Pick your colour

Tap which checkers are yours and which home board is yours. Any colour set works.

4

Check and count

Anything the app isn't sure about is highlighted for you to check. Then you get both pip counts.

Made for real boards

Any board, any checkers

Different cloths, triangle colours and checker sets, including marbled checkers and boards with drawings.

Never silently wrong

Doubtful spots are highlighted and every player must add up to 15 checkers, so mistakes are caught before you see a count.

The bar and borne-off

Checkers on the bar count as 25. If checkers are missing, the app asks whether they've been borne off.

Private by design

Your photos stay on your iPhone. All recognition runs on the device. The app has no internet connection, no account, no ads and no tracking.
